Project Responsibilities: Architect & design.
Education: BSc (Physics) with two published papers in theoretical physics. MBA (University of Ottawa, 2000). Jim has completed all courses for a PhD at Carleton University's Eric Sprott School of Business on the study of complex management problems, with the comprehensive research and thesis in progress.
Intellectual Property Experience: Jim participated on teams developing trademark and patent administration systems for the Canadian Intellectual Property Office and for the government of Mexico, and had consulting assignments on trademarks or patents with the governments of Australia, New Zealand and Peru. For CIPO, he designed the Intrepid trademark database, and wrote over half the C22 patent administration system. He has had speaking or training engagements on intellectual property automation for APEC, SIECA, CARICOM and OCRI.
Formerly Jim was Director of Artificial Intelligence for Datacap, with experience building expert systems for machine diagnosis, and invited speaking engagement on AI for Japan's MITI.
