Subway Claims Exclusive Use of Term 'way'

Subway is threatening to sue a father-and-son sandwich shop in Milford, Connecticut. Steakways Famous Philly Cheese Steaks has been in operation for a year now, but last month's legal threat has put its continued existance into question. Subway has ordered a cease and desist on the use of "Steakway," claiming it is confusingly similar to their own brand.

Owner Brian Bowser has yielded to Subway's demands, changing his sandwich shop's name to Steak Street Famous Philly Cheese Steaks.
